Ethnomethodology is a method for discovering the socially constructed patterns of everyday life. It is used to highlight the ordinary, taken-for-granted aspects of human behavior. The method is to temporarily disrupt routine behavior in order to observe how people go about reconstructing their comfortable sense of reality.
