Soft news should be defined as more personal and less-focused news coverage, such as Comedy Central, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Daily Show, and others. Answers should discuss how soft news presents a good-versus-evil dichotomy, common to hard news and U.S. foreign policy rhetoric. Answers should also discuss how soft news generates a younger audience.
