Ans: Examples will vary. The following three were discussed: (1) Being more aware of one’s environment and bringing more attention to the experience of the moment. (2) Absorbed focusing on the experience of the moment (similar to savoring when the object of attention is physical sensations). When the object of focus is internal emotional or cognitive states, the goal is to bring more awareness to one’s subjective experiences without getting distracted. (3) This definition is based on initial stages of mindfulness meditation. The activities of the previous two types are combined and additional activities are added.
