What is Surveillance Photographs?

What will be an ideal response?

Surveillance photography is used covertly in establishing identities or in documenting criminal behavior. It may aid officers in identifying the physical locations of criminal activity or in formulating a raid plan for serving a search warrant. Covert surveillance is now used commonly in banks and convenience stores as a deterrent for would-be robbers and as an aid in prosecution. Such photography can be problematic, however, in that proper lighting is sometimes difficult to come by. In response, many police agencies have purchased night-vision devices that affix to surveillance cameras.
