Explain the importance of considering both intra-generational equity and intergenerational equity in addressing resource allocation issues
What will be an ideal response?
Intra-generational equity is "the golden rule of making possible for others what is possible for you." If others have the same social awareness, the amount of environmental degradation will be less.
Intergenerational equity is about "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs." This is also the definition of sustainability. Intergenerational equity will help us reduce environmental degradation without compromising our own needs.
