Describe the four major steps involved in the Concept Attainment model

The four major steps in the Concept Attainment model include: the presentation of examples, the formation and analysis of hypotheses, closure, and application. The first step, the presentation of examples, involves the teacher presenting a rational set of labeled examples and nonexamples. The second step, the formation and analyses of hypotheses, occurs at the same time as the first step, and involves analyzing the attributes of each example and nonexample to form a hypothesis about what the concept is. The third step, Closure, involves guiding students in forming a final definition of the concept learned, and challenging students to analyze and reflect on the Concept Attainment model learning process. The fourth step, Application, involves asking students to transfer their knowledge to new situations and identify their own examples.
