How could you begin to change your locus of control?

What will be an ideal response?

The first step in this challenging task is to be aware of how you view events in your life. A second step could be to keep a written record of events in your life and to make note of your responses to them-specifically, to whom you assign credit or blame, how you think others would view these events, and to what extent you hold yourself accountable for outcomes (good or bad) in your life. A final step would involve speaking with others about how they view their own responsibility for events in their lives. Do they see themselves as in control? Are outcomes more a matter of luck than any actions on their part? Do they feel they deserve the grades they get?
