Ethical rationality ties together research on business ethics, strategy, and crisis management. Rationality is defined as “a firm’s ability to make decisions based on comprehensive information and analysis.” Rational firms and leaders (which are generally more successful) do a thorough job of scanning the environment and analyzing the information they gather. They are also able to quickly generate lots of alternative solutions and ideas.
