Your Facebook profile is an exercise in self-presentation. How have you presented yourself to the outside world? What does your profile reveal about your personality? Is this the persona you want to project?
What will be an ideal response?
The purpose of this assignment is to get students to identify any incongruencies. For example, the Facebook profile may depict the student as a "party animal," when, in fact, the student is not socializing at campus parties on a regular basis. What contributed to the "partier" persona was one set of pictures from one party the student attended the first week of classes.
