Why is the term color deficiency a more accurate label than is the term color blindness?
What will be an ideal response?
The term color blindness implies that someone does not see color at all. Color deficiency refers to the condition of individuals who are missing one or more of their cone systems. The vast majority of color-deficient individuals do see color, but they see fewer colors than trichromatic people do. Therefore, the term deficiency is much more accurate than blindness.
