Discuss the evidence issues in the two cases of T. Cullen Davis

What will be an ideal response?

The murder trial evidence was testimonial and circumstantial. The wife testified that the shooter was her estranged husband. A visitor of the home at the time also testified to this. A victim who initially survived the shooting, but later died, picked out Davis in a photo identification. Circumstantial evidence also existed in this case stemming from the divorce proceedings and prior threats by the defendant. In this case Davis was found not guilty because the jurors felt that a man with this amount of wealth would not murder his wife. In the solicitation of murder case was direct evidence and included a videotaped meeting with the undercover hitman showing him a picture of the judge that had been killed, the payment for the hit, and an informant who testified that he was supposed to kill at least a dozen other people on behalf of Davis. Despite this overwhelming evidence Davis was found not guilty and it was later found that there was jury tampering and paying off of government investigators.
