The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) administers the Bank Secrecy Act and relevant parts of the USA PATRIOT Act. FinCEN is a key component of the U.S. international strategy to combat terrorism and organized crime using counter–money laundering laws, and provides intelligence and analytical case support to federal, state, local, and international investigators and regulators
FinCEN also maintains a database in Detroit that documents every suspicious-activity report filed since they were initiated in 1996.
