Explain the CRAVED model of situational crime prevention
What will be an ideal response?
Concealable - Items which can be hidden from detection are more vulnerable to theft
Removable- Mobile items are much more likely to be stolen...one will steal a lap top before a big screen TV
Available- Objects that are easy to find and widely available are more likely to be taken, i.e. - older model cars
Valuable- Money and cost will ultimately determine the likelihood of an object being taken
Enjoyable- The newest and coolest item will most likely be the most enjoyable...laptops over type writers
Disposable - Thieves steal things they can unload and get rid of quickly.
