How could climate change affect spring feeding interactions between species?

What will be an ideal response?

To use an example, caterpillars, which are important food for birds and their young, hatch according to seasonal temperature changes. With warmer winters and springs in some areas, caterpillars are hatching 2 weeks earlier than they did just 30 years ago. However, the timing for most bird migrations is based on day length, not temperature, so now birds are arriving at their breeding grounds too late to catch caterpillars at their peak hatching time. Entire ecosystems are affected by such missed connections, due to climate change.
