Summarize the uses of chromium-molybdenum steel, including applications it is used for, processes used to weld it, and its tensile strength.

What will be an ideal response?

Chromium-molybdenum steel is used for high temperature service and for aircraft parts. It can be welded by the following processes: shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux cored, and submerged arc. The welds have a tensile strength of 60,000 psi (49 kg/cm2) to 80,000 psi (5625 kg/cm2) as welded. This type of material lends itself to joints in thin sections.
