How should you cite-check a brief from opposing counsel?

When your attorney receives a brief from opposing counsel, it is good to go immediately to the "Table of Authorities" at the beginning of the brief. You would cite-check each source to validate that it is good law, and that the source was used properly. The page numbers provided direct you to the page in the brief where the authority is used.
