Compare the treatment for this episode of graft rejection with the treatment from his earlier

episode of rejection.

What will be an ideal response?

This type of rejection is difficult to manage and is not associated with the optimistic prognosis
of acute rejection. Treatment will be the same: IV methylprednisolone and oral azathioprine or
mycophenolate plus tacrolimus. Patients with chronic rejection should be put on the transplant list
in the hope that they can undergo retransplantation.
