Briefly describe the events surrounding the bizarre agent-confidential informant relationship involving the case of Gregory Scarpa of the Colombo crime Family and his FBI handler

What will be an ideal response?

Scarpa (the "Grim Reaper") was arrested 10 times over the 35 years between 1950 and 1985, but served only 30 days in jail. Therefore, his mob-mates suspected he was an informant. He dispelled their suspicions when he shot a guy in the head right in front of his comrades.
J. Edgar Hoover hired him to find out where the bodies of the three missing Mississippi civil rights workers were. He was successful in that task.
Scarpa had committed at least four murders while he was an informant for the FBI.
