What will be an ideal response?
Varies. Situational couple violence is violence that results when arguments escalate. This type of violence occurs in both same-sex and heterosexual relationships. Both men and women are the victims and the perpetrators of situational couple violence. Intimate terrorism is used for overall control of a partner. Men in heterosexual relationships are the predominant perpetrators of intimate terrorism. Acts of intimate terrorism may not be more frequent than situational couple violence.
