What will be an ideal response?

. The intake interview is used to learn as much about a client as possible through responses to questions and written answers to questions on an interview information form. Past experiences are valuable sources of information.
. All career counseling models use some form of standardized assessment, especially the measurement of individual traits such as aptitude, educational achievement, interests, values, and personality characteristics. The diagnostic process is usually very thorough.
. Client and counselor agree on needs that are developed from a variety of sources. Intervention strategies may include personal counseling such as resolving anxiety reactions and stress- related depression, for example. Personal as well as career-related concerns are to be addressed.
. In the career domain, learning interventions are individualized ones in which one client may use a computer program to locate interesting jobs, or one may join a group involved in exploring local job opportunities. Yet another client may be involved in learning to construct a résumé.
