How could Aetna have implemented a different strategy in order to have dealt with the situation in a better way?

What will be an ideal response?

Dr. John W. Rowe did a good job of turning Aetna around from a bad situation. His strategy as discussed above serves as a good focus point for what Aetna should have done in the first place, that is, maintain a good public image, maintain good relations with customers and healthcare providers, keep the organization efficiently run and make it easy to deal with. Further strategies can be discussed in detail as a part of class discussion along these lines.
