What will be an ideal response?

Child neglect occurs when a parent or caretaker of a child does not provide the proper or necessary support, education, medical care, or other remedial care required by a given state’s law, including food, shelter, and clothing. Child abuse occurs when a child (youth under the age of 18 in most states) is maltreated by a parent, an immediate family member, or any person responsible for the child’s welfare.
