Why is there a lower end in the main sequence of the H-R diagram?

The lower end in the main sequence show objects that are less massive, stars less than 0.08 solar masses cannot get hot enough in their cores to ignite hydrogen fusion. These brown dwarfs cannot ignite hydrogen, so they contract slowly, convert their gravitational energy into thermal energy, and radiate it away.
