Explain why the scores are given for a 95% confidence interval and what does this mean?
What would be an ideal response?
Nothing really special about 95%
It ultimately defines the range of values in a study by given population's mean score can be 95%. With large sampling you get more precision than you do with a small sample in your research results so the confidence interval is quite accurate when computed from a large sample.
Once again confidence intervals are usually expressed with 95% confidence, this is just a tradition. Nothing but really it! Confidence intervals can be computed for any desired degree of confidence.
