Explain why you should only trust when it is warranted.

What will be an ideal response?

Taking inappropriate risks can cause as many problems as being unwilling to take a risk. Always trusting people who do not merit your trust is as dysfunctional as never trusting anyone. People who consistently trust exploitative people find themselves taken advantage of and will not build relationships based on trust. Instead, you must be willing question the other person’s motives and behavior openly. The other person may learn to respect you for feeling strong or capable enough to call out the duplicity. Trust is sustained only if both parties to a relationship behave in trustworthy ways.
