Some contractors like to keep a close count of the subcontractors used on the jobsite. A subcontractor log can be organized to record on a daily basis the manpower for each subcontractor. The log can be organized by the date, listing the subcontractors and employees, or by the subcontractor, listing the date and number of employees. This is an important tool when determining whether subcontractor staffing is adequate for the project.
