Conidial is not a true taxonomic classification. It refers to both the formation of conidia in three phyla
of fungi (Zygomocato, Ascomycota and Basidiomycota) as part of their asexual reproductive cycle and
to fungi that have yet to be formally classified because no sexual reproductive stage has been
observed.
