What are the types of questions that should be asked of a suspect in a child abduction case?

What will be an ideal response?

• The questioner should ask questions that require more than a yes or no answer, encouraging the subject to put things in his or her own words, while emphasizing that the subject should tell you all the facts. Types of these questions are "Tell me what happened when. . ." "I'd like to hear more about. . ." and "And what happened then. . .?" The suspect should be encouraged to describe his own thoughts and behavior, knowledge of the child and/or the child's family, habits and whereabouts, etc.
