Discuss how gender can impact social class reproduction.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Varies. Social class reproduction is a concept that helps explain how social class of a family is reproduced from generation to generation. This means that the social class of your parents of the class you were born into will likely be the same when you are an adult. Gender is an important factor for social class because women make less than men and earn less in general. If a woman has children, it is an added expense for the entire family, this is especially challenging for single mothers. The wage gap makes it more difficult for class upward mobility, but very easy for children to remain in the same social class as their parents throughout their adult life.
