Access to materials is an important consideration for creativity children with physical impairments and that activities involving the other senses (touch, smell, sound, taste) can bring creative enjoyment to children with sight impairments. For example, if a child has limited use of his or her hands, providing lightweight brushes for painting can allow the child to paint. Or brushes could be discarded completely in favor of finger painting. For a child with a visual impairment, play dough can provide tactile stimulation.
