When can a paralegal lawfully appear in court on behalf of a client?

What will be an ideal response?

A paralegal can never lawfully appear in court on behalf of a client as it would be an unauthorized practice of law. Only a lawyer who has passed that specific states Bar exam and is an active member of it can handle the case and appear in court. A paralegal can accompany a lawyer to court but may not actually practice law inside the court room.
