Distinguish between an assignment and delegation
Although the concepts are related and often occur together, there are differences. In every
executory contract there are rights (that which one can expect from a contract) and duties (that which one is obligated to do because of the contract). An assignment of rights is the transfer of a benefit (right) from the one entitled to receive it to another, while a delegation is a transfer of the obligation to perform (duty) to another who agrees to perform the duty.
