What do you see as the main takeaways from this chapter? Please discuss at least three.

What will be an ideal response?

: All people are influenced by cultural and religious beliefs. Becoming aware of our own beliefs will improve our ability to deliver the best response to all children and families. There is no major culture that advocates or supports child abuse or neglect, and cultural justifications should be carefully investigated and viewed with caution. People from other cultures may engage in behaviors that are unfamiliar, but that doesn’t make them unsafe or harmful and child maltreatment professionals must make sure that they don’t penalize caretakers for these.
