Explain how changes in NPSH effect the operation of P-202.
What will be an ideal response?
Changes in the NPSH directly impact pump efficiency. The height of the liquid and the pressure in the tank can be used to calculate pressure. Centrifugal pumps are subject to problems like, vapor lock and cavitation. Improper NPSH will cause the pump to cavitate. When this happens the liquid boils in the impeller area, creating rapid pressure changes as bubbles form rapidly, expand and collapse
