Do animals with bronchitis or pneumonia have more severe coughs?

What will be an ideal response?

Cough receptors in animals are found in the bronchi; therefore, animals with bronchitis tend to cough. Cough receptors are not found in the terminal bronchioles or alveoli; therefore, animals that only have pneumonia should not cough. Respiratory disease involving both the bronchi and alveoli

will cause coughing because the bronchial receptors are stimulated.
