How can you control the degree to which others can access and change specific areas of your documents and specify the types of changes, such as tracked changes, comments and formatting, that can be made? Why would you want to allow different levels of access?

What will be an ideal response?

Microsoft Office programs provide a feature which restricts access. The Protect Document feature allows many options for controlling different types of access to documents. A writer may want some people on the team to be able to make edits to the document, while others should be prevented from making any changes, such as a client or opposing party. Persons within the legal team may need to see the changes made to the document, but this information should not be visible to those outside the firm, since the tracked changes may reveal confidential or privileged information.
