Describe how to appropriately address physicians
What will be an ideal response?
Physicians within the office should not only be viewed as authority figures, but also as coworkers with whom you interact. It is considered professional and also a sign of respect to address a physician by saying "Doctor" before his or her last name. For example, "Good Morning, Doctor Thomas" is an appropriate way to address a physician in the office. In some cases, a physician may ask to be called by his or her first name, in which case an appropriate greeting may be "Good morning, Doctor Susan."
