ANS: Pedagogy is the art and science of teaching; it comprises all that one knows and believes about teaching. Instruction is the act or process of teaching; that it, it is the way one's pedagogy becomes enacted in practice. Subject-matter knowledge is one's expertise in the particular subject one teaches. Pedagogical content knowledge is one's understanding of how particular topics, problems, or issues in a particular subject area can be adapted and presented to match the diverse interests and abilities of learners. A curriculum is a plan of studies that includes the ways in which instructional content is organized and presented at each grade level. The teaching process is dialectic in that it requires communication with one's students and demands that the teacher be an active listener.
