Describe the three types of stimuli that activate the endocrine organs

What will be an ideal response?

The stimuli that activate endocrine glands fall into three major categories: hormonal, humoral, and neural. The most common stimulus is hormonal, in which endocrine organs are prodded into action by other hormones, known as tropic hormones. Changing blood levels of certain ions and nutrients stimulate hormone release; these stimuli are referred to as humoral stimuli. The third type of stimulus is neural, in which nerve fibers stimulate hormone release.
