As President of your student body, you will be approaching the school's administration to persuade them to build a new parking garage to alleviate the student-parking problem. Craft the logos, pathos, and ethos necessary to build your argument
What will be an ideal response?
Currently parking services is selling three parking passes for every
parking spot for students while one parking pass is sold for every parking spot for staff. Because of the lack of parking spaces, students are often late for classes disrupting professors and
classmates. Pathos – Students are outraged as many feel that the college/university does this
purposefully as a revenue stream. When students cannot find parking, they park illegally
resulting in a ticket. This is not fair. Ethos – As a student, I have fallen victim to the lack of
parking. One faculty member in particular locks the door if you are more than five minutes late.
After being locked out twice, I began coming to school an hour early just to assure a parking
spot.
