First, changing one aspect of the organization will eventually affect other aspects
of the system. The interconnectedness between an organization’s aspects requires a
total system approach to change. Second, researchers learned that trying to change
individuals or small groups through training does not work effectively for organization
change. Therefore, the system should be the target for change. Finally, from systems
view, for an organization to survive, it must take in more energy from the environment
than it expends.
