What is a fixture? Give examples of items that are fixtures and those that may or may not be fixtures, and explain why

What will be an ideal response?

A fixture is an item of personal property that is attached to real estate in such a way as to become part of the real estate. The heating and central air conditioning unit of a home is an example of a personal property that when attached becomes an integral part of the real estate. Removal would be impractical and cause significant damage. Another example of a fixture could be curtain rods or a portable dishwasher, although part of the real estate, removal would not be difficult or create damage.
