What precipitated Eurest to begin working with the Australian government to promote employment opportunities for Australia’s indigenous population?
What will be an ideal response?
In 1998, Eurest (part of the Compass Group) was one of the first businesses to begin working with the Australian government to promote employment opportunities for Australia’s indigenous population (Eurest, 2001). A year later, Australia’s Indigenous Employment Policy was born. While the government was busy developing this program, Eurest was busy developing its own—the Indigenous Training and Employment Program (ITEP) (Eurest, 2004). Eurest’s ITEP supports the government’s goals of indigenous employment.
