Why are steam or electric reheaters inefficient?
What will be an ideal response?
This type of system is inefficient because the air is being cooled which requires energy and then it is heated back up again which requires additional energy. Instead of this form of reheat, it is preferable to use the warmer return air or outside air mixed with the cold air supply rather than a separate reheater whenever practical.
