Sexual coercion—the act of using psychological manipulation, threat of nonphysical punishment, pressure for sex—exists in environments where there is an imbalance of power and control. Unwanted Sexual Contact is the intentional touching, either directly or through the clothing of any part of a person’s body without consent or by making another person touch them. Noncontact Sexual Abuse—occurs without the victim’s consent and includes sending unwanted sexual images or videos via text or e-mail, posting pictures on social networking sites—exists in educational institutions, the workplace, and social media.
