What are the five levels of scaffolding that teachers use to support children's learning?
What will be an ideal response?
The levels of scaffolding are modeled, shared, interactive, guided, and independent. Teachers provide the most support in the first level, modeled reading and writing, and children increasingly assume more responsibility in each level. They take on the greatest responsibility in the fifth level, independent reading and writing.
