?Explain how a video can be inserted and formatted in a Microsoft PowerPoint slide.
What will be an ideal response?
?Answers will vary. You can insert digital video in slides or in slide masters. PowerPoint supports various file formats. The most commonly used are the MPEG-4 format, the Windows Media Audio/Video format, and the Audio Visual Interleave format, which appears in Explorer windows as the Video Clip file type. After you insert a video, you can modify it by changing the length of time the video plays, changing playback options, and applying formats and styles.?You can insert a video clip in two different ways. You can use the Video button in the Media group on the Insert tab, or you can click the Insert Video button in a content placeholder to display the Insert Video dialog box. You can choose to insert a video from a file or from the Web. When you insert video from the Web, you can search for a video using the Bing search engine, or, if you have the embed code from a Web site such as YouTube, you can paste the embed code in the From a Video Embed Code box.?Videos can be formatted just like pictures. For example, you can crop the sides of a video or resize it by dragging the sizing handles. Be careful if you resize a video; you want to maintain the aspect ratio so you do not distort the image. You can also apply a style or special effects to a video. Please see the section "Adding Video" for more information.
