What is the theory of endosymbiosis?
What will be an ideal response?
The theory of endosymbiosis suggests that eukaryotes arose from a bacterial cell hosting several bacterial endosymbionts. Evidence is clear for this theory-mitochondria and chloroplasts still retain some of their own genetic information left over from their early days as new endosymbionts.
