What injury is associated with a person hanging in a full body harness for an extended period of time without trauma straps?

What will be an ideal response?

When a person is suspended in a full body harness, the leg straps of the harness apply pressure to the inside of the legs. This pressure is uncomfortable and can be deadly if the person is suspended for a long period of time. This pressure point is the same location as a major artery (femoral artery) that carries blood down the inside of each leg. Applying pressure to this artery is like placing a tourniquet on each leg to stop blood flow. Serious injury or death may occur in as little as 20 minutes without the use of trauma straps.
