Discuss what constitutes an offer and an acceptance at auction sales.

What will be an ideal response?

Sellers at auctions are generally held to be making an invitation to offer. Bidders at such auctions are treated as offerors, making offers the seller is free to accept or reject. Therefore, an item can be withdrawn from sale at any time prior to acceptance. Acceptance occurs when the auctioneer declares the goods sold. Only when the auction is advertised as being "without reserve" is the seller required to accept the final offer-the highest bid. Section 2-328 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) contains the rules of law that govern an auction of goods.

Describe how the gate agents might encounter each type of barrier, and what you might do to reduce these barriers.
